CHARACTER INFO
Name: Johnne Egbert
Gender: Male
Source: Homestuck
Canon point: Johnne comes from an AU where he is a troll who was Alternian hatched and raised.
Age: 8 sweeps / ~17 years
Colour: #000099
Chumhandle: ghastlyTrickster

History:
Johnne all kinds of busted out of the brooding caves like he was Troll Nic Cage (who definitely exists, in this AU) ghostriding through an action film, flames and all. Except for the part where there were no flames because he is not a troll ghostrider. He was just a grub, though admittedly a strong one, as Johnne was fortunate enough to be born a blue blood.

He was raised by his musclebeast of a bunny lusus (think of an all-white bugs bunny with muscles and a fancy hat), who has pranksparred with Johnne for most of his life. That behaviour silmutaneously started and fueled Johnne's interest in becoming a gladiatrickstor, which he plans on being when he is a big bad grown up troll. He'd some older friends that he began jokesquabbling with when he was around five sweeps though most of them have left the planet by now.

He's presently sort of facing a mischief withdrawal, as Johnne found out the hard way that some things should be left to the pros — or at least the well practised. He tried to pull a fast one on a good friend of his, and it had fatal results. At least now whenever ghosts come about for a haunting, he's reminded of his very good rustblooded friend that he accidentally prankslaughtered. Johnne's actually come to like ghosts quite a bit because of it, in fact.

Personality:
Johnne is a friendly troll, if not always necessarily the nicest one. He's happy to meet new trolls and has a generally positive look on things, though he'll sometimes drop something that'll make it seem that he's kind of Rude. He picks on his friends — about their blood, their sense of humour, and their interests in general, really.

He loves a good laugh - as is evident to anyone that meets him, but it's not impossible to get on his bad side. Johnne is prone to pitching angry fits and breaking things if he's really displeased with a situation, though most of the time he'll mostly huff about it until it's over. It's usually over something seemingly silly, and he understands that it's pretty stupid of him but Johnne doesn't have much control over those bouts. He's lost many a keyboard to an accidental too-hard grab, and he's gotten good enough at fixing them that he's like "guys i sure am good at computers" even though he really isn't. Johnne isn't so strong that everything he touches is at risk of breaking, like Equius had to deal with.

Johnne's typing looks like such. (:B It's pretty inconspicuous considering how very specific some trolls like their quirks to be, but he thinks the simplicity is just what he needs, because it helps add to the element of surprise when he does something really out of the blue (and truly hilarious, surely).

Being raised a blueblood, Johnne's a little more sure of himself than he is in the OU. A lot of his insecurities that were evident in canon, like his drawing over his posters with negative depictions of himself, are gone. He's fairly confident that he is Actually Good at pranking and doesn't think of himself as a complete loser. He's got an alright standing in his life and Johnne is pretty okay with it.

Johnne is not afraid of many things. Partly, this is because of his strength and the fact that he is not actually that easy to hurt, but partly it is because he's a little dense and sometimes doesn't realise the full extent of a situation. Situations often only come together for him in hindsight.

He's pretty close to his lusus, though they'd been closer when he was younger. Sometimes Johnne feels smothered by how often his lusus wants to do things with him, and he gets really fussy about it. In retaliation for any time Johnne gets fussy about things, his lusus puts everything important to Johnne under a safe and will not give it back, forcing Johnne to retrieve it by lifting the safe over his head and throwing it out the hole in the side of his hive. The hole had once been a wall, but too many safes had to be thrown through it on too regular a basis for it to be worth repairing.

One of the things that Johnne has failed to sort out in his life are his romantic relationships. He's had a palefling with every one of his closest friends at some point in his life, but they didn't stick for various reasons, and he's made little effort to pursue anyone in his concupiscent quadrants because as he gets older he finds it less and less important in the grand scheme of things, even though the opposite should remain true if he hopes to keep living when the drones eventually come knocking.

Though he tries (poorly) to hide it, Johnne's a closet nerd. He likes comics and bad films, and really cheap games that no one else thinks is cool except for him. While he has posters of famous gladiatrickstors on the wall, if one was to pull up a corner of them they'd fide movie posters hidden beneath. And once they're uncovered, Johnne will admit to his nerdy passions and Never Shut Up about his favourite actors. Get him started and he will, in fact, attempt to say the extremely lengthy titles of all of Troll Nic Cage's films in one go.

Abilities & physical limitations: Johnne's abilities include his ones as the Fool of Might (detailed below), and his blueblood strength. Otherwise, he's fairly normal.

Appearance: Take a gander over here.

Notable AU differences from canon, if applicable: In this universe, the beta kids were raised as Trolls on Alternia (where John is a blueblood, Jade is a greenblood, Rose is an highblood, etc.). The trolls of canon are present on Earth, having been raised as humans, but they are not in contact with the trolls/Alternia, and the same goes for the trolls not being in contact with them.

Strife Specibus: Hammerkind.

Prototyping: A copy of Ghost Master. (Underlings are somewhat transparent and will grow stronger if faced with fear.)

Title: Fool of Might

In-game abilities: Uncertain at the time.

Planet: Land of Shadows and Technology
With the bright lights and tall buildings, all of LOSAT resembles a city at night, though the streets are barren of life. The ghost consorts have made themselves hard to find, invisible except for the shadows that they cast. They're friendly enough, but the denizen has scared them all into hiding. They will tell anyone who finds them that its best if they make themselves scarce, too.

RP Sample:
The search for his lusus had gone poorly since Johnne had arrived on his planet, but it was important enough to him that he continued to prioritise finding him even when he had so many other irons in the fire. All he had to go by was the hat that had been left behind in his hive, though with that alone Johnne could not discern whether or not his lusus had been present when the entire structure had been put into the Medium, in the middle of a planet that was entirely his.

And it was entirely his. All the streets had been empty, of both his lusus and the consorts he'd been told to expect by his player server.

He turned another corner expecting to find no one, and when Johnne found himself faced with a rather large enemy, it startled him. While failing to understand that this was not the consort he was looking for, he approached it ("Hey there, buddy, I've been looking all over for you, I... think?"), but quickly had his opinion changed as the giclops sent him flying back as it struck him. The few shadows that had been collecting on the edge of the street quickly scattered, though it went unnoticed by him.

"Woah, woah. Ouch. Okay, not cool."

Johnne straightened himself and prepared for a fight, a hand hidden behind his back even as he held up the other as a sign of peace. It did little to stop the giclops from taking another step towards him. "Okay, so maybe we got off to a bad start. I'm Johnne and you're supposed to be helping me, except I'm getting the idea you didn't get that memo. "

It raised his fist, and, figuring he didn't have any other option, Johnne let his secret weapon do the talking for him. Johnne's aim was perfect; he hit the giclops right in the eye with a line of extra-sticky-silly-string — something that every junior gladiatrickstor would keep on hand, naturally, in case of an attitude adjustment emergency.

The resulting fight was hilarious, but ultimately disappointing for all whom were involved.
